The Alcohol By Volume series exists to bring together Minneapolis’ music scene with it’s thriving craft cocktail culture. Last week we announced DJ Wes Winship as the musical guest for our first event February 9th at The Red Stag Supper Club. Today we unveil the first of two bartenders who will be squaring off against each other on Thursday night: Rob Jones of Mertiage.

About Lizzo & The Larva Ink:
Minneapolis group Lizzo & The Larva Ink have created an identity for themselves with a unique, energetic sound, making them a key component in the new wave of dance music to hit the nation. The artfully crafted beats and powerful vocals tastefully meld Electro-Pop, Soul, and Hip Hop into extremely danceable tracks.
With Valentine’s Day nearly upon us, we here at MPLS.TV took the liberty of scouring Etsy for cool, locally produced gifts you can snatch up last minute for the big day. It’s called MPLS.TV. We produced five half hour episodes (Breakfast, Zombies, Lakes, Transportation, and Uptown) in 2009 as well as a holiday special and Valentine’s episode in 2010.
We did this without Lorne Michaels’ blessing, Fred Armisen, and their nearly $1,000,000 budget.
You have nothing to be jealous of.
I wish Minneapolis had a show like this.

Like a medicine cabinet, a refrigerator is begging to be opened and rifled through. Who doesn’t peek into a friend’s fridge to catch a glimpse of how they live and eat? Well, okay, sometimes it’s just to see if they have any beer. On the outside, fridges are peppered with mementos, photos and passive aggressive notes reminding you to pay the Internet bill. In a way, your refrigerator says a lot about you.
We asked you all to submit photos of your refrigerators, either the outside or the inside so we could snoop through a bit of your life and, as it turns out (by the looks of some of these), most likely stop by and ask for one of your many beers.
