In case you are unaware, April 17th is National Cheeseball Day and as an avid lover of all things cheesy, Kari couldn’t let the day pass without creating her own party snack orb of zestiness.
Click on the photo above to get her recipe, and please consider honoring today’s delicious holiday by ingesting as much cheesy goodness as humanly possible. May the Gods of Cheeseballs smile upon us all for another season!
Holly of Babes in Soyland makes and shares a great recipe for chocolate & ginger cupcakes! Nom nom nom!
In honor of SXSW, this week’s Caught in a Nosh gives us a mouthwatering sample of Kari’s favorite Austin munchies. Try not to drool too much on your keyboard while scrolling through these photos. Check out Kari’s full post here.
Holly VerHage of Babes in Soyland was able to sit down with Dawn Otwell, one of the forces behind the Donut Cooperative and pick her brain a bit about their journey, their shop, and their donuts.

This horrific creation was my fiance’s handiwork. What started with a huge chunk of fat shaped like a pair of pants inspired an entire food scrap man.
Shopping for a Super Bowl party? Don’t forget to pick up Four Queso!
Like a medicine cabinet, a refrigerator is begging to be opened and rifled through. Who doesn’t peek into a friend’s fridge to catch a glimpse of how they live and eat? Well, okay, sometimes it’s just to see if they have any beer. On the outside, fridges are peppered with mementos, photos and passive aggressive notes reminding you to pay the Internet bill. In a way, your refrigerator says a lot about you.
We asked you all to submit photos of your refrigerators, either the outside or the inside so we could snoop through a bit of your life and, as it turns out (by the looks of some of these), most likely stop by and ask for one of your many beers.
From fruit bowls to Four Loco. These are The Fridges of Hennepin County.
Hey MPLS! We’re looking for you to submit photos of your fridge - either the door with decorations or what’s inside!
Hit us up at fridges@mpls.tv or use the #fohc hashtag on here, Twitter, or Instagram!
An all NEW season of Bizarre Foods America starts tonight at 10|9c. In tonight’s episode, AZ takes you through the most unique and undiscovered foods in Minneapolis & St. Paul, Minnesota.
“Welcome to the holiday season, Minneapolites! This year I’ve really had to tighten ye olde holiday belt as far as my Christmas gift budget is concerned, and I’m sure a lot of you are in the same boat. Everyone is getting homemade gifts this year, which is how I prefer it anyway. My mother always made these insane peanut butter balls around Christmastime, which is probably while I associate this flavor with the holidays. Give your family & friends a delicious homemade treat this year, and also give them a heartier cookie than those bland, frosted sugar cookies they’re already sick of eating. These seem intimidating, but trust me, you can do this.” - Holly of Babes in Soyland
